Ethel
Welcome to the room dedicated to Ethel Léontine Gabain, French-Scottish artist.
Ethel was a famous painter and master of the art of lithography, an art for which she was among the founders of the Senefelder Club, together with her husband, the engraver and painter John Copley.
With him and his two children she moved to Alassio in 1925. They lived here for two and a half years, during which Ethel painted numerous landscapes, also becoming a protagonist of the English community of Alassio, thanks to her art lessons and the conferences she held at Alassio English School.
