Sylvia
This room is dedicated to Sylvia Dymond Hanbury, the first wife of Daniel Hanbury, owner of Villa della Pergola from 1922 until 1948.
Sylvia was a very active landlady: in addition to contributing significantly to the development of the Park, during the years twenty organized celebrated parties attended by members of the English colony and the Italian aristocracy.
Among the most famous guests were the Duke of Bergamo (Vittorio Emanuele III's cousin), the Marquis Spinola, Lady Carnegie and famous champions of the Wimbledon tennis tournament, guests of her husband at the Hanbury Tennis Club in Alassio.
This room, entirely facing south, enjoys an enchanting view of the bay of Alassio and also has a private terrace where you can read, have breakfast and rest without being disturbed.
