William
The room bears the name of William Montagu Scott McMurdo, the Scottish general who had the Villa built in the late 1870s.
McMurdo transformed a corner of the Alassio hill, once covered with olive and carob trees, into a refined garden full of fragrant exotic plants.
On the walls of the room there are some delicate English watercolors depicting gardens and Mediterranean flora.
The room is exposed on the north east side of the house.
